Summary:
Results of a participatory action research project launched in March 2004. The research documents the stories, analysis, and ideas for action of working class women in relation to childcare. It examines the impact of current childcare policy on women's equality and liberation. The report demands an end to the privatization of childcare programs; recognition of the fact that childcare is a fundamental right for women; and an end to the exploitive Live-in Caregiver Program (LCP).
